Introduction

It is our pleasure to announce the 13th ACGG Conference, following the success of the previous events. The ACGG Conference is an annual meeting, particularly among the members of Asian Community of Glycoscience and Glycotechnology (ACGG), to disseminate recent findings on a broad range of topics in glycoscience/glycotechnology. Active members of the community are currently from China, Hongkong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand that organises the ACGG conference on a rotational basis. The first ACGG conference was hosted by Japan (Tsukuba) in 2009 followed by Taiwan (Taipei, 2010), China (Shanghai, 2011), South Korea (Jeju, 2012), Thailand (Khon Kaen, 2013), India (Hyderabad, 2014), Japan (Miyagi, 2015), China (Wuxi, 2016), Hong Kong (2017), Taiwan (Tainan, 2018), South Korea (Busan, 2019) and India (Hyderabad, 2023). The 13th ACGG Conference will be held for two days, on 14-15 November 2024, in Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya, Indonesia, with a theme of "For Health and Green Industries."

Glycoscience and glycotechnology contribute towards solving major global problems, especially in the fields of agriculture, energy, medicine and biotechnology. The 13th ACGG Conference would include keynote and plenary lectures on the current trends and scenarios in glycoscience/glycotechnology. Furthermore, this conference is designed to provide participants from academia, governmental and non-governmental organisations as well as industry with a platform to share and discuss glycoscience/glycotechnology research in an international atmosphere, with oral or poster presentations. We also encourage students to present their research achievements.

We believe that this international event will expand our horizons in the field of glycoscience/glycotechnology and carbohydrate biotechnology as well. Therefore, we cordially invite you to attend the conference.

Scope

The topics covered in the conference are from the fields of microbiology, biotechnology, plant sciences, medical sciences, carbohydrate-active enzymes, cell and molecular biology, pharmaceutical sciences, organic chemistry, natural products, biochemistry, structural biology, glycomics, bioinformatics, and other areas that are related to glycoscience/glycotechnology.

Call for presentations

We invite researchers, academics, industry professionals, and students to present their idea and achievements orally or by poster in the conference. Any presentations that are relevant with the topics of the conference (see Scopes) are welcome. If you register to the 13th ACGG as a presenter (oral/poster), you will be requested to upload a presentation abstract after registration. The template for the abstract is available to download.

Participants

We invite researchers, scientists, academics, government officers, and other stakeholders. We especially encourage students and junior researchers to do presentation in this conference.
